Podge is a 9 month old Old Tyme Bulldog. He is an amazing pup, incredibly friendly and affectionate. He has had a bit of a rough start in life and although cared for very well physically, his dad was an angry man and playing ‘piggy in the middle’ of a relationship breakdown, and confined to a dark garage for large amounts of time, so it hasn’t been easy for poor Podge. He is a little uncertain and a little more anxious to please than he should be.
He is basically well trained, and just needs a little polish, and to be taught when excited, how to apply some brakes. Podge likes children, but can be boisterous, so no babies toddlers, or children too young to understand how their behaviour can excite him.
He has been good with our other dogs, and I suspect woukd be ok with cats too – though as a bouncy young bulldog could worry a timid cat.
Podge seems house trained, walks well on a lead, and has a pretty good recall. He is living it up at the Sanctuary with his temporary family, until he finds that elusive forever home.
