Lucia is a 2 year old female Cross-Breed. Lucia is a rescue from Cyprus who is currently living in a foster home in Ipswich whilst she waits to find her forever home. Here is a little about her. Lucia is a lovely, sweet, affectionate, very lively and playful girl. She is very eager to please and quick to learn. She is good with other dogs, and loves to play boisterously with them. So if she was to share with another dog, it would have to be a dog who is as happy as she is to play. She enjoys journeys in the car, especially if it takes her somewhere good for a nice walk. She loves her walks and being out and about. She doesn’t pull on the lead and her recall in the garden is very good. However she does like chasing the birds and any other furry animals that come into her garden so may benefit from some training to help curb her chase instinct.
She hasn’t yet met a cat yet so we don’t know how she will be around them but we suspect that she may want to chase them. She loves her food so much that you have to be careful not to leave your own unattended! She loves to share! She sleeps through the night in her own bed and is house trained. She needs a safe, secure, garden to play in. She bonds quickly with her human and likes to spend time with them. She likes to chase toys that are thrown, especially balls and the further you can throw them the better. She will also occupy herself, running laps around the garden.
She will make a devoted family member and is looking for a home where there will be someone who has time to spend with her, perhaps with another lively dog she can play with and expend energy. We think older kids only as she may bowl younger ones over in her haste to catch that ball! She would suit someone who likes to run with their dog, perhaps participating in canicross or agility. As with any new dog joining your family she will benefit from the time you spend with her, supporting and guiding her, to help her become the family pet that you want her to be.
She really is a lovable, friendly girl who will make her forever family extremely happy and complete. She has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped
