Bobby is a 3 year old male German Shepherd Cross. Bobby is a loving, passionate and energetic dog. He is highly intelligent and enjoys training and attention. He is devoted to his owner and is eager to please. He has a strong protective instinct and he loves being close to people. He is very loving and affectionate, and can’t get enough cuddles, just lays on the floor if you are petting him and could be hours like that, never gets tired. He is very calm at home, he doesn’t make any mess or bark or cry when he is left alone. Bobby is obedient and has a good recall when off leash. He doesn’t pull on the leash unless excited.

Bobby is a handsome, large, long coat shepherd who weighs 35 kg Height (withers): 68 cm (26.7 inches). He enjoys being outdoors and having a good run around. He is very sociable and friendly with all dogs and especially gentle with small dogs. He was fostered with cats in Spain and he was compatible, he never had any problem with them. Bobby was found abandoned in Asturias, Spain, and brought to the pound. He was fostered by a Spanish family with 2 small children, dogs and cats. He was very good at home, very calm and friendly with everybody. Last February he was adopted by a UK family with 4 busy active children. He has no issues with the older children and the toddler, but one day he snapped a warning at the 5 year old. It only happened once and it happened because Bobby felt threatened or challenged for a blanket. The family tell us he is a loving, affectionate, obedient boy and just great 99% of the time but he needs to work on his fears and build his confidence in a home with no small children, so for this reason we are looking for a home with children over 13 years or no children at all.

Bobby is still in the home with the family until he can be found another loving family. Bobby is scared of unfamiliar sounds and loud traffic and this is improving greatly each week as the more exposure he gets .He feels more confident with women, this only means that he needs a bit more time to build his trust on men. This is probably due to the fact he was mistreated by a man in his past. He would do well being homed with another dog too for confidence. Current location is in his home in Wythall near Redditch, West Midlands. Vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, Neutered, Microchipped, Pet Passport, FREE 4 weeks Pet Insurance to be activated from the link on our website, Any known health issues NONE KNOWN.

For Dogs coming from Spain: This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering (if old enough), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from Spain or Portugal to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.

Adoption Fee : £ 195 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account
