Mia is an 8 month old female Cross-Breed. She was rescued from a kill shelter in June and she’s been staying with our small pack since.
Mia is a lively and energetic girl who loves to play, she’s totally in love with her ball or any toys she lay a paw on. She is beautiful, loving and affectionate and likes being around people. She can be slightly shy when meeting new people but she does not need much time to open up. She is very intelligent, a quick learner and works well with humans. She is nicely biddable and very cooperating in the right hands with a confident owner.
She is compatible with all dogs in her current pack, very friendly and playful with them. Sometimes she tries to dominate over newly introduced, submissive dogs but she gives it up if the other dog gives her a growl or tells her off. She can be a chaser when she is wound up but she can be stopped without a problem if given the right guidance.
She lives in a kennel outdoors so we are unsure about her house training needs. Training her to walk nicely on and off the lead is also down to her new family as she is not taken out on regular walks currently. She travels nicely in the car and she is very well behaved at the vets. She LOVES water, happily splashes in it, tries to bite it or just puddles in it.
Mia would be best suited for a family without children where she is not left alone for long periods of time and there is time for her training. She wants to be treated as a member of the family and be included in their activities, going on nice walks or just chilling on the sofa. Her training and socialisation will need to be continued in her new home and taking her to a dog training school is highly recommended.
Experience with rescue dogs is preferred. She could live with another friendly and confident dog, but she may as well be happy living with her humans to care for her only. As all rescue dogs, she will need time, patience, love and commitment from her adopting family to become a well behaved dog.
Mia is currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family is found for her. She comes fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork.
