Rocky is a 5 year old male Dachshund cross Corgi. Little Rocky is a tri colour chubby, short-legged, long-bodied boy that looks a bit like a Corgi. He has a soft, long coat and the sweetest eyes. He belonged to a man in Spain who was not taking proper care of him and finally surrendered him to a pound.

He hadn’t taken him out for walks in years and as a result, Rocky is overweight and is afraid of new situations, but he is also constantly looking for cuddles.

He is gaining confidence each day and would probably benefit from being with another dog. He needs experienced owners willing to give him time, and a lot of love
Rocky is very calm, very obedient and affectionate. He behaves very well at home, walks perfectly on the lead without pulling at all and is very sociable with all dogs.

Foster Report: Rocky is initially wary of strangers, but his desire to get affection helps him overcome his wariness. Even from the first day, he placed his head on our laps and showed us his belly for rubs, something he loves. He is really affectionate and just wants to be close to someone.

He has a low level of energy and enjoys slow walks. He is on a diet, he’s already lost some weight but needs to lose some more, and he has improved a lot his physical condition; he wasn’t able to walk for long when he first arrived and now he enjoys 30 minutes walks.

Rocky is lovely with everyone he meets, and is very sociable with dogs. His only issue is that he is fearful of new situations and does not like to be handled or lifted, for example to get him into a car. He has to be put inside a carrier and then lifted inside the car in that, it’s not yet possible to carry him in our arms because he reacts badly out of fear. He hasn’t been tested with cats.
