Relente is a 10 year old male Spanish Mastin. He is a beautiful, long coated, cream coloured, mature Mastin Boy. He is noble, calm, sweet, good with kids, cats and even chickens. Poor boy has had a hard life and he is now 10 years old, and in the past he has had a broken leg. Fabulous chap urgently needs a retirement home.
His story may touch your heart but he deserves you to hear. Relente was rescued from the pound. He had been run over and sent there by the town council, and his injuries went untreated. When the rescue heard the story about him, they immediately tried to get him out to safety quickly as he was not safe in there.
They found out that he had a big fracture in his leg, and they knew he wasn’t going to get surgery in there but be on the put to sleep list. The rescue badgered the pound for a month everyday, as they wanted to take him out but the pound kept saying they were going to take care of him. Upset and sick of them trying to fob them off, the rescue actually went to the pound to take him out.
For 30 days they did no surgery on his broken leg! and so the rescue made such a fuss that the pound was happy to release him to their care to get rid of them !
After speaking to their vet and, an urgent surgery was then planned and they fundraised for his surgery and found him a foster home so that he could recuperate. He is affectionate and gentle and very very sociable.
Relente now needs to find the best retirement home possible! He is the best boy you could ever imagine. Could you give him that love?
Foster Report: Gets on with all the animals here – we get the impression he is just so grateful to be out of pain and in loving environment. He trusts us 100% and he is so loyal. He is approx. 70cm high and about 50 kg weight.
Current location is in a foster home in Spain can travel to the UK once he has a home to go to.
