Danny – 6 month old male Cross-Breed

Danny is a 6 month old male Cross-Breed. When we found poor Danny by the side of the road, he was clearly treated horrifically. He had a wound to the head and injuries to his leg and a broken pelvis. We can only imagine the pain this poor boy must have be in. Since we rescued him we’ve been gently nursing him back to health.

After crate rest and lots of TLC we sent Danny to a specialist. Sadly the specialist (and a second opinion) has said an operation and the recovery would be too dangerous because it is near his sciatic nerve. However, as you can see, Danny is already able to walk again and have fun. Isn’t it lovely to see Danny now – ambling around in the yard at Happy’s and having cuddles!

Danny has recovered remarkably from the trauma he has suffered. He’s gentle with the carers and gets on with other dogs. Because of his injuries he couldn’t be homed with a boisterous dog but a calm and gentle companion would be fine. He’s a lovely, active dog with lots of personality.

Following his injuries Danny is a bit wonky but then dogs come in all shapes and sizes and it doesn’t affect Danny’s ability to love and be loved! Danny will need lots of tender, loving care but we know he’ll develop into a wonderful companion. He will need a loving, caring home who understands the needs of a dog in rehabilitation.

For that special person Danny will be forever grateful.
